SUBMISSION NOW OPEN FOR THE HARD-TO-REACH ABC/mBC COMMUNITIES TOOLKIT

SUBMISSION NOW OPEN FOR THE HARD-TO-REACH ABC/mBC COMMUNITIES TOOLKIT

To address the critical unmet need in access to care for hard-to-reach populations with advanced/ metastatic breast cancer (ABC/mBC), the ABC Global Alliance and Pfizer have collaborated to develop a toolkit of relevant, community-based initiatives and best practice summary documents that aims to drive collaboration across the global ABC/mBC community.

We are pleased to announce that submissions have now re-opened for initiatives to be considered for inclusion in the Hard-to-Reach ABC/mBC Communities Toolkit!

Later this year, we are excited to be expanding the toolkit with examples of initiatives in five key hard-to-reach communities:

  • Ethnic, religious, indigenous/ native populations, and/or other minorities
  • Low income patients
  • Rural patients
  • Older patients
  • Low health knowledge patients

In order for an initiative to be considered for inclusion in the toolkit, the following criteria must be met:

  • Related to advanced breast cancer (ABC).
General breast cancer or oncology initiatives can also be submitted if they could be applicable to advanced breast cancer patient needs.
Initiatives that are focused on any area along the care continuum will be considered (i.e., access to genetic testing, treatment, supportive care, etc.)
  • Complete or in an ongoing implementation phase
  • Non-drug specific. Financial assistance programs will be considered only if they are non-drug specific

The initiatives submitted will be reviewed by a steering committee for inclusion in the updated toolkit repository and best practice summary documents.
