ABC GLOBAL ALLIANCE PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES AT A GLANCE

We want to share with you some of the most relevant initiatives that the ABC Global Alliance developed so far.
All of them have as main objective one of the 10 goals for change highlighted in the ABC Global Charter.

Projects and initiatives in progress

Scientific collaborations

  • Development of a QoL tool specific for ABC, in partnership with EORTC Quality of Life and Breast Cancer Groups
  • Development of a Quality indicators for ABC/mBC, in partnership with ESO and EUSOMA
  • Uncovering international disparities in metastatic breast cancer outcomes, in partnership with IARC
  • Communication issues on related to advanced breast cancer paper
  • Project to calculate the finantial impact of more flexible labour laws for cancer patients, in collaboration with Lisbon Medical University and Novartis Portugal

Advocacy and policy projects

  • Hard-to-Reach Breast Cancer Communities Toolkit, in partnership with Pfizer
  • Peer Navigation Program, in partnership with Novartis
  • Invisible Woman 2.0 report, in partnership with Novartis

Direct support to members

  • Donation of items that can help patients in keep living life with dignity despite the physical side effects and symptoms of their cancer (i.e. wigs, prosthesis, bras, scarves), in collaboration with Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. (German Breast Cancer Association). Donations in progress: Botzwana, Egypt, Malaysia
  • Travel grants/Financial support for registrations to support members attendance to international conferences| LINK

Promotion of the ABC Global Charter and its goals
