Resource Hub: Brain and leptomeningeal metastases from breast cancer

The Breast International Group (BIG) and the National Clinical Trial Network (NCTN), with support from the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), have created a Central Nervous System (CNS) working group, composed by several healthcare professional experts and patient advocates. The BIG-NCTN working groups were selected to maximize the impact of global collaborations on difficult and unresolved aspects of breast cancer, to focus on research areas not historically prioritized by the pharmaceutical industry, and to set up large international efforts that put patients’ needs first.

The CNS working group has identified, among the several key initiatives to improve the care provided to patients facing the devastating problem of breast cancer brain metastases and leptomeningeal disease (LMD), the creation of a curated landing page where resources for both patients and healthcare providers are located in a single place. The ABC Global Alliance has offered to host this important page, which has the name of “Resource Hub: Brain and Leptomeningeal metastasis from breast cancer”.
